Nomoi Design To Photograph Solar Decathlon In Irvine, California
ANNANDALE, VA - A former Decathlete himself from 2006 Jason Flakes, President of Nomoi Designs is slated to photograph the Solar Decathlon 2013 hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy on October 3rd through the 13th in Irvine, California. The event will include 20 solar-powered houses built by collegiate teams to show how cost-effective, energy-efficient homes are both attractive and necessary. The winner of the competition will have best shown how to blend affordability with consumer appeal, design excellence, optimal energy production and maximum efficiency. Nomoi Designs will also photograph the event’s Opening Reception. Flakes said of the opportunity, “It’s very exciting to photograph this event and be a contributing sponsor. I loved competing in Washington, D.C. so it’s wonderful to come full circle.”
The Solar Decathlon will be the first-ever international event held at the Orange County Great Park. The competition houses will be open to visitors free of charge.
The event educates students and the public about money-saving opportunities that incorporate environmental benefits presented by way of clean-energy products and design.
