Nomoi Design Pairs Up With Nomadic Display For New Case Study Featuring Time Lapse Photography
For the past 35 years, Nomadic Display has been the leading event marketing company - and is the leading producer of top-of-the-line custom modular and portable display solutions, graphics, trade show rentals, events and mobile presentations. With a proven track record of creating attention-getting, results-driven presentations around the globe, they have earned over 15 awards for designs and presentations. These honors include “International Gold Medal for Long Life Design,” “Best of Show,” the International Exhibitors Association’s “Focus Award,” an “Addy”, and the “Hazel Hays” award from the Exhibit Designers and Producers Association.
Nomadic’s impressive resume is nothing to be coy about, so when photographer and owner Jason Flakes of Nomoi Design, LLC got the opportunity to collaborate with the display company, he jumped at the chance. Together with his creative photographic experience and Nomadic’s studio, they created an entirely new installment featuring time-lapse video photography to showcase several different applications. Through the use of hyper lapse and exposure techniques, Flakes’ team was able to provide an exciting visual effect, creating a way to display more information with the use of additional camera angles than a standard straight-shot time lapse.
With the use of dynamic perception dolly equipment, Flakes’ team was able to creatively experiment through open and unencumbered hardware through the use of the motion-control system.
Shot from two different angles by two separate Canon MKII’s; the team was able to mix regular time lapse as well as hyper lapse. The first camera (camera one), was stationary with one image being taken every 5 seconds through the use of an external time-lapse intervalometer, set at EF 17-40mm f/4L USM manual camera controls. The second camera (camera two) was shot on the Dynamic Perception Stage Zero, using the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM manual camera control settings. The Motion Controller was set to R.141 R0.00 interval meter and was set to take one image every 5 seconds.
By combining these several techniques, Flakes and his team were able to create this dynamic video they have exclusively released on Nomoi Designs company YouTube channel: Nomadic Display Time Lapse
On behalf of his team, Flakes would like to publicly thank Nomadic Display for this wonderful opportunity. By allowing them to come into the company's own warehouse, they were able to set up full studio gear and shoot one of their own new display designs for their case study. It was a frictionless collaboration. They were not only grateful to have the chance to work exclusively with the company, but appreciate them allowing them to test out the team’s new equipment.
